August 2026 Release Notes

Here is an overview of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to the Clearstory platform for the month of August.

🚀 New Features

  • Work in Place Reporting — Track Change Order Request (COR) progress with an inline-editable % Complete that automatically calculates earned dollar value (Requested Amount × % Complete). Available at the project level for a single project's CORs and at the company level for a portfolio-wide rollup by project and by customer. See Work in Place (WIP) Reporting.
  • Change Notification Reporting — The Contractor Snapshot report now surfaces Change Notification (CN) health metrics, including CN Days Aging, Overdue CNs, and Cost Impact, in both the summary table and the per-contract grid. The CN Response Matrix adds sticky response rate rows per contract, column sorting, a CN Closed User column, and a multi-select Response Status filter. See Contractor Insights: Contract Snapshot and Contractor Insights: CN Response Matrix.
  • Cross-Office Project Addition — Project Managers and Admins can now add users to a project even when those users aren't part of the associated offices.
  • Copy CORs Within a Project — Copy an eligible COR into the same project. The create flow opens prefilled with reusable data from the source COR, and the copy gets a new COR number, a reset lifecycle, "(Copy)" appended to the title, and clean chat and activity history. The original COR is left unchanged. See Copy a Change Order Request (COR).
  • Integrations Activity in the COR Log — Integration push and update events are now captured in the COR Log's Activity Feed. A new icon distinguishes entries that are shared with everyone from those visible only to your company.
  • CMiC Single Project Import — Create a Clearstory project directly from a single CMiC project through a guided, full-page wizard that brings over project details and imports and links the project's vendors and contracts in one pass.
  • CMiC Contract Import — Bulk-import CMiC vendor contracts and link them to a Clearstory project in one pass, using the same picker as Single Project Import.
  • New Clearstory Web API — A new Clearstory Web API is available for customers and partners building custom integrations. The legacy API is being retired over time, and existing key holders will be contacted about migration.
  • Procore CE Status Sync (Beta) — When a Clearstory COR is linked to a Procore Change Event, the Change Event's status stays in sync from Procore and appears in the Procore CE column on the COR Log, so you can see the current status without leaving Clearstory.
  • Acumatica Integration (Beta) — A new direct integration between Clearstory and Acumatica.

✨ Enhancements

  • Link a Sent COR to a Change Notification from the Received Log — Respond to a Change Notification by linking one of your sent CORs directly from the received-side CN workflow, with search, sorting, pagination, and protection against duplicate links. See How to Respond to a Change Notification.
  • Upload a Received COR to a CN from the Sent Log — Upload a contractor's COR from the sent CN's three-dot menu. Project, Contract, and Customer Reference Number are pre-filled and locked to the CN's values, and the COR is created and attached in one flow. See How to Create and Send a Change Notification (CN).
  • Revision Date Submitted — Track when specific COR versions were submitted. A Revision Date column has been added to the COR Log, an editable Revision Date Submitted field to the COR Details page and Log edit panel, and a Date Submitted column to the COR Versions page. See How to Submit a Revision to a Change Order Request (COR) and How to View Previous Versions of a Change Order Request (COR).
  • COR Share Log Rebuild — The shared COR Log has been rebuilt natively in Clearstory, replacing the legacy embedded page. Shared links now include the same header, collapsible summary, searchable and filterable grid, pagination, exports, and row actions as the in-app COR Log, whether the viewer is logged in or opening the link anonymously.
  • T&M Share Log Improvements — The Time & Materials (T&M) Share Log now matches the COR Share Log, with an updated look and feel consistent with the web app, pagination at 25, 50, or 100 items to prevent slowdowns on large logs, and a dedicated landing page for viewing individual tag PDFs.
  • Waived Stage for Voided CORs (Beta) — A fifth Void-status stage, Waived, for cases where a contractor voluntarily withdraws a COR as a concession. Visible and usable on both the Sent and Received logs.
  • Logo Cropping and Display Enhancements — The logo uploader now includes a Custom selector, and logos that are too tall or too wide are no longer squished. Your logo also displays correctly across COR and T&M downloadable PDFs.
  • Legacy Allowance Draw and Amount Remaining Fields — Legacy Allowance Draw and Amount Remaining are now available as optional fields in the Allowance Log, under the allowance information sub-header. These fields will be available on export in the September release. See Navigating the Allowance Log.
  • Allowance Log Exports — Allowance Log and detail page exports now align with the updated Allowance Log. Log exports match the filtered and customized view you have set, and allowance details reflect new views, including the timeline view for allowance draws. See Navigating the Allowance Log.
  • Internal Allowances in the COR Log — Internal allowances and internal allowance draws are now available in the COR Log as columns you can add and edit. See How to Create an Allowance in Clearstory as a General Contractor.
  • Out-of-Contract Allowance Icon — Out-of-contract allowances are now marked with an icon in the COR Log, COR Details, and COR Edit pages. See How to Create an Allowance in Clearstory as a General Contractor.
