Here is an overview of enhancements and bug fixes to the Clearstory platform for the month of July.
2025.07.31 Update
New Feature 🎉
Allowance & Contingency Tracking:
Clearstory Allowances is now live, so you can link CORs to the right budget bucket (contingency, design changes, overtime) as the work happens.
Why it matters:
- Link CORs to draw from specific allowance buckets in real time.
- See what's used, pending and available in one live collaborative dashboard.
- Eliminate back-and-forth at billing and closeout.
Enhancements ✨
- T&M Tag Review & Sign page: We've refreshed the interface and added a details panel for reviewing T&M Tags that shows key T&M Tag info like date of work performed, customer reference number, and more.
- Optional Signers Can Now Reject or Request Revisions for T&M Tags: Optional signers can now mark a tag as “Revise & Resubmit” or “Rejected”, even if required signers haven’t responded. This allows optional signers to push the T&M Tag back to the trade partner without waiting on a duplicate response from someone typically set as a required signer, like the project manager.
- Expanded Developer API for Specialty Contractors: We’ve enhanced our Developer API to support pushing COR line items into connected Systems of Record and now include internal IDs for COR items. These updates allow specialty contractors to automate workflows and map data directly back to their SORs for better accuracy.
- Clearstory Change Notification & Autodesk PCO Relationship: Users can now create a Clearstory Change Notification (CN) and Autodesk PCO connection earlier in their workflow. This lets teams handle the entire pricing process within Clearstory, reducing the need to switch between Clearstory and Autodesk.
- HCSS enhancements: HCSS users will now have access to Adding / Editing / Deleting internal IDs within Clearstory for easier updates when working with rates.
- Project Page enhancements: Added a new filter to the Projects page, so users can filter by created/invited projects.
2025.07.17 Update
Enhancements ✨
- COR Linking to Procore Change Events: Users can now link uploaded or created CORs directly to Procore Change Event Line Items, providing greater visibility into what has or hasn’t been forecasted.
- “Ball in Court” Column in Received COR Log: A new column shows who’s responsible next, based on the COR’s current status and stage; sortable and filterable.
- Default Rollup Report Metrics: Specialty Contractors and GCs now see key metrics by default in the Rollup Report—no setup needed. This ensures teams get immediate insights without configuration.
Bug Fixes 🐛
- Project CSV Export & Division Filter: Fixed an issue where the Division filter was not being applied to Project CSV exports.
- Chat: The message input field now expands when users enter more than one line of text.
2025.07.10 Update
Enhancements ✨
- Backcharge Activity Messaging: The email message sent alongside a backcharge is now visible directly within the activity log, improving context and traceability for all backcharge-related communication.
- Persistent Filters on Active Projects Page: The Active Projects page now retains your search criteria and filter selections, even if you navigate away and return later. This streamlines workflows and eliminates the need to reapply filters repeatedly.
- Rollup Report Deep Linking: The rollup report now includes hyperlinks on all key metrics. These links allow users to quickly drill into Clearstory to view the underlying data, making it easier to identify anomalies or issues and take direct action.
- Improved COR Log Sorting for Integration Users: Integration users working with COR Logs will see enhanced sorting behavior, making it easier to manage and prioritize CORs efficiently.
Bug Fixes 🐛
- Business Name Display Correction: Resolved an issue where the system displayed the company name instead of the business name (when provided) in:
- Upload Contractor COR emails
- @mention notifications
- T&M Log exports
- Email Whitespace Trimming: Fixed a bug where trailing spaces in email addresses prevented users from being added to the system. The platform now auto-trims these spaces for seamless user management.
