How to Sign Up for Clearstory

In this article, you will learn how to sign up for a Clearstory account for the first time, whether using your email address or a single sign-on option.

Sign-Up Method How It Works Best For Extra Notes
Email & Password Enter your work email → Create password → Verify with code sent to email. Anyone without SSO credentials or who prefers a standalone login. Requires checking your email for verification code.
Single Sign-On (SSO) Use Procore, Autdoesk, Apple, or Google credentials. Users who already log in with these platforms. Work email must be associated with your chosen SSO account.

1. Navigate to the Clearstory Website

To begin, open your preferred web browser and go to www.clearstory.build.

Steps:

  1. In your browser’s address bar, type www.clearstory.build and press Enter.

  2. On the Clearstory homepage, click the Sign Up button in the top-right corner.


2. Sign Up Using Your Email Address

If you choose to sign up with your email address:

  1. On the Sign Up screen, enter your email address in the provided field.

  2. Click Continue.

  3. Create a password when prompted.

  4. Check your email for a verification code.

  5. Enter the verification code into the Sign Up page.

Once the code is successfully entered, you can skip SSO and jump to Section 4.


3. Sign Up Using Single Sign-On (SSO)

You can also sign up using one of Clearstory’s built-in single sign-on options. This is often the fastest and easiest method for many construction industry professionals.

Available SSO Options:

  • Continue with Google

  • Continue with Procore

  • Continue with Apple

  • Continue with Autodesk

Steps:

  1. Click the SSO option you wish to use.

  2. Log in using your existing credentials for that platform.

  3. Once validated, you’ll be signed into Clearstory.

Note:

  • You can use SSO regardless of your company’s project tools—as long as you have existing credentials with one of these platforms tied to your work email.


4. Create a New Company Account

If your company account already exists in Clearstory, skip ahead to Section 5.

If you are the first user from your company to join Clearstory:

  1. You will be prompted to fill out your First/Last Name and your Company’s information.

  2. This ensures your account is set up properly for clean documentation within the platform.

  3. Fill out the required fields and check the confirmation boxes.

  4. Click Create Free Account.

You’ll now be logged into Clearstory and ready to start using the platform, Step 5 in this article will not be necessary.


5. Join an Existing Company Office

After you verify your account (via email or SSO), Clearstory will check if your company already has an account.

  • If your company exists: You will be prompted to join an existing office.

    • Click Add Me To This Company
    • Use the drop-down menu to select your office.

    • If you do not see your office listed, click the Support Chat link to request that your office information be added.

You’ll now be logged into Clearstory and ready to start using the platform
