How to Add Standard Terms and Conditions to a Time & Material Tag (T&M Tag) or Change Order Request (COR)

Learn how to add custom Terms and Conditions to every T&M Tag and COR your company sends, and other PDF customizations.

Terms and Conditions appear on the PDF of every T&M Tag and COR your company sends through Clearstory.

Terms and Conditions can be adjusted by office, but currently cannot be customized by Project.

Admin users can update Terms and Conditions at the Office Level. Just click into your office, click Office Settings, and add your Terms and Conditions.

To add your own Terms and Conditions at the Company Level, follow the steps below:

  • As an Account Owner user navigate to the Settings > Terms and Conditions page.
  • Once here click "Edit"

  • Enter the text you wish to appear on your terms and conditions for each document separately.

  • Once you are finished, click "Save".

Rename the T&M Tag header and the Subcontractors table on your PDFs

Office Settings also lets you change two labels that print on your PDFs, so your documents use your own language:

- T&M Tag Header: replaces "Time and Material Tag" at the top of your T&M Tag PDFs (for example, "Work Order"). Up to 30 characters.
- Subcontractors table: replaces the "Subcontractor" table title on your COR PDFs (for example, "Trade Partners").

Account Owners and Admins can set these. Your labels apply to every project in the office, and new and regenerated PDFs use them. These labels change only what prints on the PDF. Menus, forms, emails,  cost types, totals and exports keep the standard Clearstory names.

To rename a label:

1. Go to Settings > Offices, select your office, and open Office Settings.
2. Click Edit.
3. Enter your label in T&M Tag Header or Subcontractors table.
4. Click Save.

To go back to the standard wording, click Reset next to the field, then click Save. If you leave a field blank, PDFs use the standard wording.

Note:

1. The preview on the Office Settings page may still show the old wording. Generate a T&M Tag or COR PDF to confirm your change.

2. These settings will only impact PDFs moving forward. Previously submitted T&M Tags or CORs will not be regenerated to reflect the updated terminology.
